Truth or Dare Tuesday with Cari Silverwood

Well it's that time of the week again and we're back to hosting an author on Truth or Dare. I'm really pleased to know Cari Silverwood. Her book, Iron Dominance was my introduction to the Steampunk genre. She was also responsible for getting me to join The Playroom BDSM Authors Blog. Welcome to Truth or Dare Tuesday, Cari.

A little bit of information about Cari and why she chose Truth instead of Dare.

Erotic romance author Cari Silverwood writes the way the world should be - dangerous and sexy with bullets piercing the darkness and lovers wrenched close by ropes. When you need escape, when you need that rough lover to bring you to your knees, here you will find stories to singe your fingers. The taste of adventure, the tang of BDSM, the burn of fantasy run wild. Brace yourselves, if you dare to read.

And...in this real world, she has a lovely family in Australia, with the prerequisite teenager who dwells in the dark bedroom catacombs…a husband who raises eyebrows when he catches glimpses of what she writes, and a furry menagerie of other animals barking, meowing, and swimming about the place.

Why I chose truth over dare? Hmm. I'm shy. I'm happy being daring as long as I can do it away from the spotlight. Also there's no way you're taking photos of me dancing in the fountain or checking my mail box in my underwear. I do those at the stroke of midnight. I'm kinda like Superman and Clark Kent only I'm not super or a man...but I do have a secret identity. And I occasionally kill evil villains with amazing stealth and deadliness. I swear it's True :)

Hmm, I do believe the secret identity is the truth, I think all authors have one, but now it's time to see what questions Cari chose to answer.

What do you think your best and worse physical attributes are?
Best – empathy for others.

Worst – I jump to conclusions over some item that I can’t find in the house and I also detest people moving my stuff. Want to drive me bat-shit crazy? Hide something I need to use daily.

When you are trying to impress people what personality trait do you hide?
Total lack of social graciousness. I can be quite clueless. I’m too honest. If I hate a present I find it nearly impossible to gush and pretend I love it.

What is the worst thing about being an adult?
People expecting you to behave like one. I want to be the person who still takes dares and does crazy stuff when I’m 103. I want to dance in fountains <g> and pole dance in public…but not take photos of it. I don’t want to be expected to talk for hours about the itty bitty details of cooking or babies because that’s just not me.

What are you afraid of?
Heights. But I have climbed mountains and sat at the top, though with very wobbly legs.

What is the one thing your significant other does that drives you nuts?
He sticks to one opinion on some issue where he hasn’t got all the information. Such as declaring a person guilty of some complex and hard-to-figure-out murder on the basis of biased news reports.

I like to stay flexible unless it’s very clear-cut. In other words I’ll sit on the fence until the cows come home or they find a photo of the villain with the weapon in one hand, a shovel in the other, and a severed head tucked under his arm.

Thanks Cari, that last answer definitely rings true. I know my hubby used to do the same thing and yes, it drove me nuts as well.  If you'd like to find out more about Cari and her books visit her website at http://www.carisilverwood.net/

So how are we going so far? I notice no one's taken up the dare challenge yet, maybe I made them too hard. So, if you were going to issue a dare to a friend what would it be?

  1. I loved learning more about Carrie and can totally relate to the teens in their caves LOL!
If I were going to dare someone mmm well lets see (I did this once and it was hysterical) when you are introduced to someone say something to the effect of "What you don't remember me" I went on to make up a relationship with this person who was staring at me with a mixture of "she has me mixed up with someone" and she "she is totally insane" about the time the guy was trying to explain that it wasn't him who didn't call after our sexual romp my husband stepped in and is like "she thinks she is funny just ignore her" and put his hand over my mouth shaking his head
