Passion, Pleasure, Pain: An Anthology of Dominance and Submission

In each other they found the piece of themselves they hadn’t even realized was missing.

Earlier this year Doris O’Connor, author of BDSM and erotic fiction, passed away after valiantly fighting a rare form of cancer. For many of us in the writing community her loss was hard felt and, not having any other way to support her and her family we did the thing we knew best. We put pen to paper (so to speak) and came up with an anthology of D/s stories. Unfortunately, Doris didn’t get to see the finished project but was aware of it.
All profits from the book will go to the O’Connor family to help them during this difficult time of adjusting to the loss of their wife and mother.
For those of you who decide to purchase a copy of Passion, Pleasure, Pain – An Anthology of Dominance and submission. Thank you.
This D/s anthology was put together by writers who hold author, Doris O’Connor, near and dear to their hearts because the genre is one that was near and dear to Doris as an author. #FuckCancer #WeLoveDoris

You Belong to Me by Lynn Burke
My entire life is one bold-faced, fucking lie. Son of Victor Laurent and sole heir to the entire Laurent fortune built up from a few great grandfathers back in the Civil War times, I’ve been raised—groomed—to be the perfect Southern gentleman. Proper and full of self-control, a man who can keep hold on the vices that help me live my daily life of pure, fucking drudgery.
I know what it means to be controlling not just of myself but of the woman who will one day kneel at my feet. The one who belongs to me, however, is promised to another—and claiming what is mine could cost me everything.
Author Bio: Lynn Burke is a full time mother, voracious gardener, and scribbler of spicy romance stories. A country bumpkin turned Bay Stater, she enjoys her chowdah and Dunkin Donuts when not trying to escape the reality of city life.
Alabaster by Kastil Eavenshade
Alixandre Chastain enjoys the darker side of Paris. A Libertine by trade, no flesh is barred from his roaming hands, no matter what lay betwixt their legs. Except when news of his lustful ways reaches his God-fearing parents, they strip him of title and cast him out. Alixandre’s now adrift and with an uncertain future, but an interesting proposition by Comte Phelipe Richelien promises to replace everything he lost with a new world of decadent pleasure like no other. But can Alixandre submit to his new Master? And will his guarded heart be laid bare by one spoken word—Alabaster.
Author Bio:Kastil Eavenshade is multi-published author pandering her romantic shenanigans. When not catering to the whims of three rescued kitties, she’s dreaming up her next heart-beating tale. No period in history–past, present, or future–is safe from the clutches of her muse.
Her passions beyond writing are drawing, cooking, and watching Pittsburgh Penguins hockey. She credits her parents for her free spirit as they’ve always supported her in every aspect of her life. Without them, she wouldn’t be here. She finds pleasure in writing anything from fantasy to romance-which sometimes parallel each other.
Risqué by London Saint James
Alex
Camilla Maria Campanelli. I’d caught glimpses of the woman when she popped into my Manhattan gallery—there to collect a commission for the paintings we sold for her. So let’s just say I never expected the wet-dream version of Camilla to sashay into Indigo Housean exclusive member’s only club that catered to very specific clientele with extremely particular desires.
Camilla
The night I stepped out on my balcony, I hadn’t intended to be a voyeur though I ended up being one. And what shocked me even more than my uncharacteristic behavior? I’d actually been aroused watching two strangers get their kink on. But I wasn’t into D/s. I’d never even read those Fifty Shades books all my sisters went on and on about.
So why was I affected?
I needed some real, solid answers. And there was only one way to do that.
Author Bio:London Saint James has lived in many places but never felt “at home” until she met the real-life man of her dreams and settled down in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. London lives with her husband and their fat cat who thinks he owns them.
As an award-winning, international bestselling author, London is living her childhood dream. She knew all the scribbling she did, that big imagination of hers, and all those clamoring characters running around in her head would pay off someday.
Back on Top – A Wylde Shore Novella by Jan Graham
Barry Reid never imagined becoming friends with three Doms and their subs would change his life so dramatically. When he settled into marriage and family life with his wife, Meg, he set aside his dominant tendencies, happy to lead a vanilla life. With Meg’s newfound interest in BDSM it’s up to Barry to connect with his inner Dom and figure out how they can make the lifestyle work for them—even if it’s only in the bedroom.
Author Bio:Jan Graham is an author of Contemporary Romance and Romantic Suspense. Her stories contain erotic elements, with some including elements of BDSM. She has numerous published titles to her credit, with more to come once she overcomes her current bout of procrastination. Jan lives in Newcastle, Australia where she writes, reads, feeds her Netflix addiction and drinks coffee with friends.
For those who enjoy labels and tags, as well as being an author, Jan is a submissive, an aunt, dyslexic, a lover of all things tempting and naughty (including chocolate), a participant in the BDSM community, a widow, an orphan, and sometimes a wild child.
In short, she is generally a bit of an eccentric who lives her life slightly left of center. You can find out more about Jan and her work by visiting the following links.
Hell’s Mercy by Katherine Wyvern
Wealthy, charismatic, influential and damn near immortal, Lukan Løvensgård looks like natural Dom material, and in fact he has never, but never submitted to anyone in his long life. But among all the bizarre and fantastic people roaming the far planet of Cydonia, there is one who stole his old, cold heart.
Her love comes at a price. Complete surrender.
With her impressive presence and unusual equipment, Helenay is the hottest and trendiest professional Domme in Neu Venedig and she hardly has the time to top for pleasure these days.  But she knows what her old friend Lukan needs, something he never suspected. Release from power.
Author Bio:I have entered that age when looking at beautiful male models in their prime probably makes me a cougar, ahem.
Almost all my heroines are short: that’s because I look at the world from hobbit level. Being so small I am three times more concentrated (read: obsessive) than anybody I know. I am exhaustingly creative in writing, arts, crafts… Sometimes my brain gets friction burns from hurtling at such speed from one universe to the next.
I love animals, plants, and occasionally even people.
Like Highlander I come from a lot of different places. I was born in Italy but lived here and there and consider myself simply and deeply European. I love Europe passionately, its antiquity, its diversity, its quirkiness. All my books are set in Europe, or alternate versions of it.
I have been writing since I can remember.
Deb by Name, Sub by Nature by Raven McAllan
He can command his men…
But can he command Deborah?
Major Oliver Cantor, newly back from the continent, has always wanted Deborah. However she is an innocent. A lady who has no idea just what Oliver wants, needs and desired.
Or does she?
She knows he is dominant and wants someone to be his submissive.
She also knows it should be her.
Now all she has to do is persuade him of that fact.
You’d think it would be easy, but…
Author Bio:Raven lives in Scotland, along with her husband and their two cats—their children having flown the nest—surrounded by beautiful scenery, which inspires a lot of the settings in her books.
She is used to sharing her life with the occasional deer, red squirrel, and lost tourist, to say nothing of the scourge of Scotland—the midge.
Her very understanding, and long-suffering DH, is used to his questions unanswered, the dust bunnies greeting him as he walks through the door, and rescuing burned offerings from the Aga. (And passing her a glass of wine as she types furiously.)
Once Upon a Time by Erin M. Leaf
Charlie has never been in love because he’s never believed in happily ever after. He prides himself on being a good friend and a good Dom, and that’s always been enough for him, except lately nothing feels right. He doesn’t know if he’s having a mid-life crisis or what, but his best friend suddenly looks hot as hell, and nothing about that is normal.
Ryan’s straight friend Charlie has always had his back: when he came out, when he got married, and when his husband died. He’d do anything for the guy he’s been secretly in love with forever. So when Charlie suddenly proposes a spanking scene under the guise of “relaxing” him, he almost runs the opposite direction. Except, what if this is his one chance to finally show Charlie what real love feels like?
Author Bio:Erin M. Leaf is a romance novel devotee, the steamier the better, with a specialty in edgy erotic tension.
Shade Addiction by Lea Bronsen
Ex-boxer Mike Logan struggles to put a brutal past behind and make ends meet as a bus driver. When a young runaway settles for an all-night ride, he seizes the chance to do a good deed—get her home safely. But first, they’ll drive around and talk.
What he doesn’t anticipate is that this broken night angel is also a sexy little minx needing a lot more…and not just the gentle kind.
Author Bio:Award-winning author Lea Bronsen likes her reads hot, fast, and edgy, and strives to give her own stories the same intensity. After venturing into dirty inner-city crime drama with her debut novel Wild Hearted, she divides her writing time between psychological thriller, romantic suspense, historical romance, and dark erotic romance.

Out Now—Winning the Campaign Manager by Lucy Felthouse

Blurb:
Politics has never been so sexy!
Cade Avery is running for a position on his local county council. He’s extremely good at what he does and is a valuable asset to his community. The trouble is, he upsets people, says the wrong things, and rides rough-shod over other people’s plans and ideas. His assistant, Mary, eager to improve Cade’s public image, hires him a campaign manager.
Quentin Rayworth is thrilled to be working with such a formidable public figure. It’ll be a challenge, but he’s confident he can help Cade to win the election, and knows that the achievement will look impressive on his CV.
It’s soon clear that the two men are set to be an excellent team. That is, until Cade’s werewolf makes its intentions known—in Quentin, it has found its mate, and it will not rest until he has claimed him. But can Cade—and his wolf—win over the campaign manager?

Excerpt:
“You’ve done what?” Cade Avery yelled, fixing his long-time friend and colleague, Mary Summers, with a glare. He slammed his hands down on his desk, making a bunch of pens jump and rattle, and causing water to splash over the side of his glass. “Why the hell would you do such a thing?”
Mary, by now used to Cade’s temper and frequent outbursts, didn’t flinch. Standing firm on the other side of his desk, she calmly stated, “You heard me, Cade. I’ve appointed you a campaign manager. And as for the why, I think it’s pretty damn obvious.”
“Not to me,” he grumbled, snatching a handful of tissues from the box in his top drawer and swiping irritably at the liquid he’d spilled. “Seems like an unnecessary expense.”
With a heavy sigh, Mary replied, “Do you want to win this bloody election or not?”
“Yes, of course I do. What sort of a stupid question is that?”
“Well then, you need a campaign manager. The rest of the team and I already have enough on our plates. We can’t handle that side of things, too. Not to mention the fact that you really need someone with … expertise … in that department. Someone who can boost your public image, make you more likeable … you know, so people will actually vote for you.”
Screwing up the wad of soggy tissue and dumping it in the wastebasket beside him, Cade snapped his gaze to Mary. She stood, the ever-present iPad clutched against her chest, looking as determined and immovable as a five-feet-one, slim thirty-five-year-old was ever going to get.
He sat back in his chair and folded his arms. “What’s wrong with my public image?”
Rolling her eyes heavenward, her body tensing, Mary’s cool demeanor actually looked on the verge of cracking. Taking a deep breath and releasing it, she looked back at him. “Give me strength, Cade. Are you fucking serious?”
She may have used the deep breath and probably a considerable amount of willpower to dampen down her physical reaction to his question, but her actual words gave her true state of mind away. As a rule, the word “bloody” was as bad as it got for Mary. To have enticed a “fucking” out of her, and within the same conversation, no less, meant she was in real danger of losing her temper with him. And despite her diminutive frame and usually chilled-out personality—especially in comparison with his huge frame and fiery personality—when she did lose it, she was utterly terrifying. Possibly the fact that she rarely got angry was what made it so potent when she did. Mary’s ire could turn even the thickest-skinned person into a blubbering wreck.
“Mary,” he cooed, backtracking quickly, “come on, sit down. Why do you always insist on standing up in here?”
“Because, unless we’re having a meeting, I don’t generally need to stay long. I normally impart my information, you give your feedback, and we get on with our day.” She shifted restlessly and narrowed her eyes. “But today, it seems, you’re having a bit of a brain fart. Do I really need to spell it out for you?”
Raising his eyebrows at her increasing irritation, and wondering if there was something going on in her private life that was making her so touchy, he nodded. “Yes, I really think you do.”
A few seconds of silence passed, in which Mary again seemed to be getting a grip on her irritation. She finally said, “All right. But don’t forget; you asked for it.”

To keep Verity under his watchful eye, Ryevale plots a campaign of seduction that no woman can resist– except it seems, Miss Verrinder. But with her controlling father abroad, Verity wishes to explore London and reluctantly accepts Ryevale’s companionship. As the compelling attraction between them strengthens, Verity is shattered to learn her instincts are correct after all – and Ryevale is not what he seems. If Lord Ryevale can lie, then so can she…but with disastrous consequences.

Excerpt: Verity’s Lie by Grace Elliot

Verity closed the library door and wilted.  With toe-curling embarrassment she recalled her prudish disapproval and cringed afresh.  Why couldn't she have appeared worldly and calm, instead of behaving like a stuttering, prissy schoolgirl.  And why Lord Ryevale, of all people?  If she hadn't been distracted by plans to confront her father, then she wouldn't have been caught so off guard.  Verity took comfort in that it was unlikely their paths would cross again.
Clutching Cicero against her chest like a shield, Verity composed her thoughts before facing her father, then made for the garden.  The root of her discomfort lay in noticing Lord Ryevale earlier that evening.  When he arrived, the atmosphere had changed tangibly; women became more vivacious and men bristled defensively.  He moved with the self-assurance of a pack leader and, when he passed close by, a wicked smile quirked across his intriguing lips—and Verity didn't usually notice mouths.  But more alarming still were his eyes—nut brown and intense—and when he had glanced in her direction, she felt as if he could read her mind.  Shaken, she wondered if she had inherited her mother's weakness for the opposite sex, a sobering thought that worried her.
From his wide chest and broad shoulders, to the square jaw and strong cheekbones, Ryevale filled her mind; so when she had received her father's note to fetch his copy of Cicero, she had welcomed the excuse to leave the ball and calm her wits.  That was, until she opened the library door to find the man she was running from in a compromising position with another man's wife.
After three laps of the garden, her cheeks had cooled and her mind felt more ordered.
Tonight she would seize the moment; before her father left on business, she would appeal for more freedom.  Her speech planned out, she was ready to face him.
Verity hurried along the corridor, pausing outside the study door to straighten her hair. This was it: now or never.  She knocked and, at a gruff acknowledgment from the other side, entered.
Between the gloomy room and being a little nearsighted, it took Verity a moment to assimilate three men were present: her father, the prime minister and a figure in the shadows.
"Father.  Lord Liverpool."  She squinted, trying to identify their guest.  As Ryevale stepped forward, her pulse hit a crescendo.  Alarm fluttered in her breast, threatening her ability to breathe.  "My lord."  How her voice held steady, she had no idea.
            "Good evening."
He stood at ease, which irritated her.  Why did her wits scatter like pigeons before a cat when he smiled in that bone-melting way?  Annoyed at herself, she answered his smile with a glare before turning to her father.  "Your book, Father."
            "Ah, Verity.  Thank you."
Her father took a cursory glance at the spine then set the Cicero aside.
Verity longed to escape, to be able to breathe and to release the tension swelling in her chest.
"If that's all, I won't intrude further."  She felt Ryevale's gaze, hot against her skin, and some unnamed sensation coiled and tightened inside.
"Ah, Verity, let me introduce my guest."
"We've already met," she replied tartly.

Excerpt - Incognito by Morgan K Wyatt

Marcus decided her expression wasn’t overly welcoming. Had he read the kiss wrong or was the problem that he shouldn’t know where she lived? Only a nosy person or someone with access to personnel records would know that. Still, her cutoff shorts were hot. What did that shirt say? He read the words aloud until she covered it with her hands. “Straight men…” Wait, what did she cover up?
He walked closer until they were nose to nose. The coconut-scented suntan oil teased his nostrils. Visions of tropical nights spent under a full moon, rolling around with Teresa’s long legs wrapped around him filled his mind's eye. Speaking of legs, he glanced down to the limbs in question. Just as long and as magnificent as he imagined them that made it a double shame to cover them up. Still, he knew teen boys needed little to start erotic fantasies about their teachers. Why give them more fodder?
Her lips held onto the circle of surprise, which made him think of other ways he could shock those delectable lips. The slight hush of the pool filter, children playing in the distance, plus a tinny muffled dog barking registered in a corner of his mind. Two feminine hands held tightly under her breasts owned the majority of his attention. Whatever word she might be trying to hide with her hands did not quite cover the arrow pointing downward to an interesting zone.
“My sister-in-law’s a jokester. The shirt is a souvenir from her San Francisco trip.” She said the words breathlessly, while staring up in his eyes.
Placing his larger hands over hers, he deliberately wrapped his fingers around hers with the intention of lifting her hands off the obvious inappropriate word. What he didn’t count on was her determination to keep the word covered or their precarious perch at the edge of the pool.
“C’mon,” he cajoled when she pressed her hands even tighter to her midriff as she might be attempting CPR on herself.
She shook her head. “Nope, I’d rather be shirtless than have you read my humiliating shirt.”
Shirtless? Oh yes, he could go for that. “Sounds good to me.” His hands dove to the bottom of her shirt to help her remove it. A forceful push sent him wind-milling into the pool, clothes, shoes, sunglasses, and damn it, cell phone, and all.
She stood peering into the pool, her body quivering with suppressed laughter. He fished out his cellphone laid it on the edge of the pool. Her expression told him she couldn’t believe her eyes as he pulled out his wallet, his keys, and a waterlogged package of mints. He reached under the water, pulled off one, then another topsider and flung it onto the cement.
“What are you doing?” She stared at the growing pile.
He smiled at her very interested mien. The woman ate him up with her eyes. Good. He unbuttoned the two buttons on his polo and pulled it over his head. He wrung out his wet shirt, twirled it over his head like a stripper, and pitched in her direction, hitting her with a satisfying smack.
“Looks like someone invited me in for a swim.”
Her mouth opened and closed with no words coming out.
“Unfortunately, I forgot my suit so I have to improvise.” He slipped the belt from his khakis and let it float on top of the water like some mythical serpent. Teresa’s eyes followed as if it were Nessie. To think he took time considering what would be the right thing to wear only to end up drenched. Business casual did not serve him well.
Her eyes stayed glued to him as he reached for his waistband. “I’ll be right back,” she announced as she darted to the patio door. “Don’t go anywhere.”
