Author Hot Seat - Tammy Dennings Maggy

The author hot seat specials are designed to help readers get to know some of todays popular and up and coming authors a little better. The questions are broken into four sections - About your writing, about you, fun stuff and finally. Some of the questions are easy, other may need a little more thought and some may cause our author friends to hesitate before answering. Still, they all answer.

Today I'm excited to have Tammy Dennings Maggy as our guest. She's taken time out from the promotional tour for her latest release and come  to have a rest in the hot seat. Let's she if we can ask her some questions that turn up the heat and make her hot under the collar.

For those of you who don't know Tammy, here's a little bit about her and her writing career.

As far back as I can remember I have had two dreams: become a veterinarian and a world-famous author. So far I achieved the first one and have enjoyed a wonderful career as a small-animal veterinarian. But something has always been missing. I’ve never stopped writing; that has never been an issue. The problem was getting up the nerve to actually finish one of my novels and submit it to a publisher. What a scary thought to send a stranger something I had poured my heart into. Would they like it? Would they see the characters the way I saw them in my head? Writing For the Love of Quinn was like giving birth to my first child. I had to let my characters go to see if they would take off, and boy have they ever!

Jacob and Quinn’s story is far from over. They’ll pop in from time to time to check in with their friends and family in the next books in the Now and Forever series. They got their happily ever after, and now it’s time for the others to find theirs, too!

Having grown up in Michigan and now living in Northern California, I have had the privilege to experience life in a small town and a big city. Everyone who I've met along the way has influenced my writing in one way or another. Their experiences as well as my own help make up the characters that I hold near and dear to my heart. Helping them find the loves of their lives as well as fulfilling a few fantasies along the way is just frosting on the cake!

Now let see how Tammy answered the Hot Seat questions :)

About your writing:

How did you get started as a writer?

I've been writing practically all of my life. As far back as I can remember I made up little stories. As I got older, I switched to writing in journals and kept a lot of my writings private. Poetry has always been a part of my writing career and had a few published in school papers, nothing big. Now I can say I've “hit it big” with a book of poetry and two erotic romances published.

Why do you write?

Writing soothes my soul. It’s a great form of therapy and a heck of a lot cheaper than paying a therapist to tell you he wants you to confess all your secrets in an hour or less. Why not do it for free? LOL  Seriously, writing is also my escape from the heartbreak I had gone through in my life.

Have you ever had a day you wanted to quit and never write again?

Yes. Well, not quit writing, but quit trying to publish anything for others to read. There have been days when I've looked at what is selling well on Amazon and I’m just floored. There is so much out there that’s poorly written, poorly edited, and overall just terrible and yet sells like crazy. It’s disheartening at times.

Do you feel lucky to be doing what you are doing?

Most of the time yes. I’m very lucky to have a husband and family who support me in wanting to pursue this writing career. My husband in particular picks up the slack at home when I’m writing. I work full time as a veterinarian and have to find time to write whenever I can. He takes care of the laundry and other household things when I get lost in my world.

Tell me how you got to where you are today?

I’m not sure how to answer this question. I worked hard to achieve the goals I've set for myself. I excelled in school  and in my career as a veterinarian. I never gave up on the dream to have some of my stories and poetry published. I just took longer to take that leap of faith in myself and send something in to a publisher.

How do your family/spouses react to your work as an author? Do they know what you write?

Everyone knows what I write and that the romances I put out there are explicit. I've shocked a few folks who've only known me as that shy girl from high school. Well, I’m all grown up now and swear like a sailor! LOL  Even my employer and coworkers know what I write and are very supportive. That being said, I don’t flaunt my covers or talk about it all the time at the veterinary hospital. There’s a time and place for everything and they all know where to find me if they want to find out more.

About you:

What are you passionate about in life?

Before I met my current husband, I would have to say I was passionate about finding him. He is my soul mate and has given me my happily ever after. I’m passionate about the health and well-being of my animal patients and educating their owners. I want everyone to be able to find their happily ever after and if I can play a small part in their journey, then I've done my job.

If you had to give a thank-you speech at the Oscars, who would you thank and what would you say?

I would thank my parents for always encouraging me to follow my heart and my dreams wherever that may lead. They encouraged me to keep trying and get over that fear of failure. I would thank my husband for giving me the strength and love to fly on my own and for always being right by my side.

What are the three most important life lessons you've learned that might make life easier for others?

Don’t be afraid to love with your whole heart even if it means it will break in the end.
Don’t live beyond your means. Just because you have it, doesn't mean it will make you happy.
Everyone has a soul mate. One day you will be reunited with the one who completes you heart and soul. When that happens, it’s truly magical.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. Whom would it be and why?

You did say fictional so I would have to say Steve Eischer. He’s the billionaire Vegas tycoon in my Now and Forever series. He enjoys helping others realize their dreams and he has the money to do it. In one week, I could help a hell of a lot of people get a leg up and started on their way to fulfilling their fantasies.

What's the worst thing you did as a kid?

I shoplifted a balloon. My mother made me go back to the store. I had to tell the manager what I had done and give the balloon back. I was never so mortified, but I never did it again.

What do you do to have fun?

We have a large DVD collection so we have movie nights at home or we go out sometimes. I love Vegas so whenever we get some vacation time, I like to spend a couple days there. We’re going for my birthday in a few weeks  and I can’t wait!

Share a funny incident in your life.

Thinking back, the funniest things that have happened to me usually end up with me getting a black eye. LOL  My little brother was tossing around some decorative wooden fruit in our family room. I was sitting on the floor next to the coffee table when one of the pieces of fruit bounced off the table and right into my eye. It hurt like the dickens! I started crying and screaming. My mother came running down the stairs with her broom in hand. She sees me holding my face and crying  and my brother hollering “it’s an accident!” So she thinks the worst and starts chasing him with the broom!  Finally I catch my breath and yell “Mom! It was an accident!”  LOL  I had one hell of a shiner for two weeks.

Fun Stuff:

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see play the lead role as you?

I’m not sure. I have so many favorites. It would have to be someone who can play a smartass really well. :)

If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?

Ice cream…so many flavors to choose from so I would be loved by practically everyone!

What is your favorite color- food- song- movie?

Color: purple
Food: McDonald’s French Fries
Song: of all time it would have to be “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers
Current song: “Dark Side” by Kelly Clarkson
Movie: hands down “The Godfather.” There is no movie that’s any better!

What's the funniest pick up line ever used on you?

“Excuse me. You wouldn't happen to know CPR would you? My heart seems to have stopped the moment you walked into the room.”  Bwahahaha!

What's the one thing you can't live without?

That’s a tough one. It depends on the day. Right now, I can’t live without my hot cup of tea in the morning. LOL

And finally:

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:
-An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
-An old friend who once saved your life.
-The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
You can only fit one person in your car, who would you choose to offer a ride to?

I would go for the old friend because I know that person and they know me. In this day and age you never know who is a danger to you. That sweet old lady could be a serial killer just waiting for a sap like me to come along and give her a ride. I've fallen for that “perfect partner” business before. It’s going to take more than dreaming about him for me to pick up a stranger.

Thanks Tammy, I love those answers.

Now for everyone who want to read a bit of Tammy's new release, the Island, check out the excerpt and blurb below. Beware though, this book is steaming hot, just like an Aussie summer.

The Island (Now and Forever 2) by Tammy Dennings Maggy

After losing her brother in a fatal motorcycle accident, Quinn’s life spins out of control. Shutting herself off from friends and family in Michigan, she buries herself in her work, wishing for the pain to end. In her dreams she’s finally able to find the peace her heart craves on The Island.

Driven to recklessness over a heartbreaking betrayal, Jacob races his motorcycle on a rain slick California freeway. Near death in the hospital, he’s given a choice. Stay on The Island or go back for a second chance at love.

Destined to be together, but repeatedly torn apart, these two lost and melancholy people draw the attention of the Goddess Fate. As Quinn and Jacob’s lives hang in limbo, the soul mates are given a very special gift from the Gods, and the chance to finally have their love of a lifetime.

The Island - Adult Excerpt (EXPLICIT! Adults only!)

His eyes found hers once again and she began to fall. She didn’t care. Thoughts of going back or staying there on The Island disappeared. All she wanted to think about, to feel, and taste was Jacob. Quinn pulled his mouth back to hers. The sweet taste of the berries, mango, and papaya dazzled her taste buds as their tongues teased and danced with each other, fighting for control one moment and surrendering to each other the next.
Jacob finally freed her tits from the laces of her bodice. Watching him tug at the strings with his teeth made her heart beat faster and she giggled before she could stop. He winked and kept up the slow pace. Quinn giggled even more. “I stand by my first assessment. You’re a tease, Jake.”
“Baby doll, you haven’t seen anything yet.” He pushed her dress down to her waist and simply stared. “I’m not the only tease here.”
“What are you talking about?” Quinn slid her fingertips up and down his arms. His muscles twitched and pulsed at her touch. She wanted those arms wrapped around her and to never let go.
“You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. You don’t flaunt it, but every move and noise you make turns me on. I wanted to take this slow, but I can’t.”
“Stop thinking so much and kiss me.” She pushed herself up to meet his mouth once again as they moved on the bed so she was now on top of him. Jacob’s hands slid up her thighs, leaving hot trails with his fingertips. Her body quaked and her pussy clenched as a rush of fluid soaked her panties completely.
Jacob hooked his thumbs in the band of her underwear, snapped them off, and tossed them onto the floor. His hands slid up her body, pulling the dress up and over her head in a flash. He sat up, holding her in his lap, nuzzling first one breast and then the other with his stubbly chin and cheeks. The roughness of his skin against her rock-hard nipples sent her rolling toward another orgasm. She clung to him as he suckled harder on her right nipple while kneading her left breast with his hand. Quinn arched her back and bit her lip before crying out. “Jake, please don’t—”
He pulled back quickly, moving his hands to cradle her face. Concern filled his eyes. “Did I hurt you?”
Her eyes glistened with tears. “No. Please don’t stop.”

* * * *

The catch in her voice nearly broke his heart. The raw passion was there. Her body given freely to him, and yet she still questioned his desire for her. He knew that pain all too well. Here with Quinn though, it all faded away. She did that for him and he wanted so badly to do the same for her. He wiped away the tears that spilled onto her flushed face. He kissed her softly and held her close. “I want you, now and for however long we can be together. I need to be with you. I won’t stop as long as you want the same.”
Quinn slid off his lap and knelt up on the bed, pulling him up with her. She held his gaze as her fingers unfastened his shorts and then slid them down over his hips. Jacob quickly took off his tank top before crushing Quinn’s chest against his. She smiled and his heart beat quickened. “I need you, too. Make love with me, Jake.”
He slid out of his shorts as Quinn eased back onto the pillows. Jacob took in her entire sun-kissed body, naked before him. God, she’s so beautiful. Quinn welcomed him into her arms as he joined her on the pillows, his mouth finding her left nipple this time as his right hand trailed down her stomach.
She arched her back and moaned as soon as his fingers found her throbbing clit. Another wave of fluid gushed out of her and over his fingers. Jacob brought them up to his mouth to taste her. “Mmmm. You taste fucking fantastic. Your sister was right. Wanna try?”
Quinn giggled and licked his fingers clean. That move sent his body over the edge. His cock was bouncing with his need for her, a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by his lover. She reached inside the nightstand for the box of condoms, spilling several over the bed. Jacob smiled as he placed one in her open palm. Quinn slid her hands down his abs to his pulsing member. She wrapped her fingers around his shaft and squeezed a little, eliciting a gasp from him. Carefully she tore open the wrapper with her teeth and quickly covered his cock with the ribbed latex sheath. He thrust his hips forward, causing her hand to slide up and down his shaft. “Oh, now who’s teasing?” Jacob moaned.
He eased Quinn all the way back onto the pillows, and slid down her body toward his prize. He wanted more than just a taste. He wanted to feast on her cunt until she begged for him to take her. He positioned himself between her thighs and looked up to see her watching him, her chest rising and falling rapidly. He winked before popping her clit into his mouth and sucking hard. Quinn nearly bucked him off but he held her hips in place, enjoying her squirming and sighs. It wasn’t long at all before he was rewarded once again with her sweet nectar.
He teased her a bit more with his tongue and then slipped one, two and then three fingers inside of her hot folds. Her pussy clenched repeatedly over his fingers and her body convulsed over and over again. Quinn’s skin flushed from her tits to her toes, because of him, because of what he was doing to her. He wanted more, so much more. He couldn’t wait any longer. He wanted to bury his cock deep inside her, go over the edge, and never come back.

Truth or Dare Tuesday with Carin Walker

Today's Truth or Dare guest is reader, reviewer and blogger, Carin Walker. To take a peak at her blog check out http://4myreadingobsession.blogspot.com. Now, before we get stuck into the questions, I'll let Carin tell you a little bit about herself and why she chose to tell us the truth about herself today.

Hi everyone, I’m Carin from My Reading Obsession blog. I have been a reader since I was 3 when I picked up a Readers Digest and just started reading it out loud to my mom. I am a Wife, Mom, Chauffeur, Homework Warden, Book Whore, Obsessive Reader and Reviewer. When I am not reading or blogging I crochet, cross stitch and quilt.

I chose truth over dare because I have a chronic medical condition that prevents me from doing a lot of stuff out of the house (a trip to the mall would have put me in bed for a week). I used to do things like have a picnic on the world map inlay in the lobby of the airport when I was younger, so I figure I got most of my wild antics out of the way then. I loved the truth or dare idea so much I had to play along, happy reading, Carin.

Have you ever flirted to get out of trouble? Tell us what you did.

Not with the law or anything but when we (I was on a road trip with my mom and sister) got a flat one time, in the middle of nowhere Wyoming, I flirted and crossed my arms under my boobs and leaned into a guy (wearing a shirt with a scoop neck) who was trying to close his tire shop and convinced him to replace the tire for us.

If you could go out on a date with anyone in the world who would it be?

Robert Downey Jr, holy cats is that man hot and funny! I love funny (the hot doesn't hurt either) I have had this talk with my hubby and he informed me that if Robert asks me out he is ok with me going, so call me (I just know he reads your blog Jan).

Carin, I’ve actually heard that both Robert D and Johnny Depp are avid fans of the blog, maybe we could double date…lol J

Would you still love your significant other if he or she gained 100 pounds?

Without a doubt! I didn't marry him because he was thin, I would worry about his health and tell him so, but it wouldn't change the fact that I love him.

What are you afraid of?

Things that jump at you, frogs, grasshoppers, crickets, spiders… shutter! and clowns can't forget clowns they only sometimes jump but they are creepy as heck!

Where is the strangest place you’ve ever had sex?

In a public swimming pool (I am only telling you, Jan, cause I know you can keep a secret ;o) LOL).

Your secret is safe with me (and whoever else reads the blog) Carin. So what do you say everyone, can we keep Carin’s public swimming pool sex secret? I mean, she didn’t stipulate which public pool it was, with whom or when, so there’s not a lot of juicy details to tell really…lol.

Does Size Matter? - The Books We Read

Over the next fours weeks I'm going to be doing a few posts that fall into a little series I'm going to call Does Size Matter? You can probably guess some of the topics I'll be covering, especially those of you with dirty minds who are now siting reading this thinking about large penises. I know who you are and you're all very naughty :)

Today though I'm thinking about the size of books we read. Not as in physical size, but word count. What is considered the ideal length for a book. Personally I like reading large novels. The larger the book the better (as long as the story grips me of course). I find that if a novel is larger I get more information about the characters, the story is often more in-depth and has a few twists and turns along the way. I like to know the ins and outs of the characters I read about, seeing how they fit into the society that surrounds them, watching their interplay with the other characters, even minor ones. That's what I find enjoyable, I find it a complete experience rather than a shorter book that leaves me with unanswered questions. Of course the questions may not be pertinent to the story, it's probably just something I've wondered about as I've read.

When I wrote Finding Angel it turned out to be 160,000 words long. I had friends say it wouldn't get published because it was too long and  some publishers I couldn't submit to as the novel was over their recommended word length. I re-looked at it, discussed with my two beta readers what I could possible remove. Their opinion matched mine. Nothing.  Finding Angel is the first in my Wylde Shore Series, it introduces the characters,  the setting where they live, the social dynamic in the BDSM community in which the characters participate and the suspense elements that flow through each of the subsequent works. Luckily I found a publisher willing to take the chance and publish Finding Angel, which, despite people telling me  was too long, received positive reviews and mostly four to five star ratings from both readers and review sites.

Subsequent books in the series are smaller, but not by much. Playing Jax was 120,000 words and Switching Mercedes, the current WIP from that series is set to come in at between 120 -140,000 words. They are novels and I love writing them even though they take me a longer period of time to create.  I also have a novella series, most of the books in that are under 20,000 words (but only just). The Sydney Cougar Series has also received great reviews from both readers and professional review sites, but they don't sell in the same numbers that Finding Angel and Playing Jax have. I'm not sure if that's because of the size or other differentials within the story and genre they fall into. It's a bit of a mystery to me at present and one of the reasons to include book length in the Does Size Matter set of blogs.

Most publishers have a guideline for book size that goes something along these lines. Short stories are under 15,999 words, novellas fall into the 16,000 to 45,000 word length and a novel is over 45,000 and up to 120,000 words. With a large number of publishers only novel length manuscripts go to print, unless the publisher prints an anthology of the novella or short story length books. I' not sure if the sizing is effective or accurate, there is a huge word difference between 45 and 120 thousand and in fact most of the print books I buy and read by popular authors are often in excess of 120,000 words.

JR Ward, whose books I love, are huge. They're detailed but enthralling and I'd probably be disappointed if I didn't end up with a house brick weight size book to read when I purchase one of her novels. I feel a similar way about Christine Feehan's Dark Series, Nalini Singh novels and Lora Leigh's books. So does popularity dictate the acceptable size of a novel, does the publisher, does the reader or should it be left up to the creator of the story - the author?

For me, I write a story until the characters don't have anything else to say, until their story is told. If that means it's a heavyweight like Finding Angel or a 16,500 word novella like my last completed work, All You Can Eat, then so be it. I hope my readers enjoy my books no matter what length they are, but it doesn't stop me from wondering if the size of the book really does make a difference to sales, to reader likability  to review ratings, and to people coming back and purchasing other titles in my list of works.

So what do you all think? Does Size Matter when it comes to the length of a book?

Author Hot Seat - Fiona Archer

The author hot seat specials are designed to help readers get to know some of today's popular and up and coming authors a little better. The questions are broken into four sections - About your writing, about you, fun stuff and finally. Some of the questions are easy, other may need a little more thought and some may cause our author friends to hesitate before answering. Still, they all answer.

Today my friend and fellow author, Fiona Archer is sitting in the hot seat. Fiona has her first book releasing this month. It's called Chloe's Double Draw and although I haven't had time to read the finished product yet, from the pre-published sections I've been privileged to see, if you like cowboy's and menage stories with a touch of BDSM then you'll love Fiona's book.

Let's hand it over to Fiona and see if we can make her squirm in the Hot Seat for a bit.

About your writing:

How did you get started as a writer?

I’ve always had a love for reading and have wanted to write a romance since I was fifteen. After my 40th birthday, I decided it was time to live my dream. So one day I sat down and started to type.

Why do you write?

Because I can’t afford the medication if I don’t! The voices in my head demand their stories and I’m happy to oblige.

Have you ever had a day you wanted to quit and never write again?

Hell, yes! When you let the self-confidence thief takes over, writing then becomes a path full of boulder sized rocks you have to climb over. But you keep on typing away, and soon those boulders turn into pebbles and then flecks of dust.

Do you feel lucky to be doing what you are doing?

Lucky? Hmm, I’m not sure that’s the right word. I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity. I’ve worked hard to get this far and know I have so much more to learn. I’m aware life can kick you in the pants when you least expect it to, so if luck has anything to do with keeping that boot from my posterior, then I’m happy to embrace that good fortune.

Tell me how you got to where you are today?

By drinking copious amounts of coffee!

In truth, I had so much to learn about the craft of writing. I read books on the subject and took classes over the internet. Along the way, I made some wonderful friendships with other authors who graciously passed on some of their knowledge. And I kept typing away. You can’t edit a blank page. So getting those words down was my number one priority.

How do your family/spouses react to your work as an author? Do they know what you write?

Sure, my family know what I write. This is my life, and is how I make my living, how I spend the majority of my time. There’s no point in hiding that from those closest to me, including my friends.

About you:

What are you passionate about in life?

Family, friends, my fur babies, a good story and the absolute best tasting iced coffee.

If you had to give a thank-you speech at the Oscars, who would you thank and what would you say?

Best screenplay? Fabulous, thanks! You’ll have to excuse me for limping. My backside is numb from sitting for so long and these shoes are killing me. Mind if I change into my slippers now? Oh, and, sweetie, can I have the name of your plastic surgeon?

What are the three most important life lessons you’ve learned that might make life easier for others?

No matter how much you want something, if that special ingredient is missing—be that love, attraction, or talent—sheer will alone won’t make it happen.

Always save your current WIP on a regular basis. Email it to yourself after each 1,000 words. Back up to an external hard drive. Take steps now. Because at some point in time, your computer will crash and you will lose data. Then the wailing will begin and it won’t be pretty.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. Whom would it be and why?

Oh, definitely the heroine of my novel, Chloe’s Double Draw. Caught between two Doms and loving every minute of it? Yes, please.

What's the worst thing you did as a kid?

Nope, not telling. Ever.

What do you do to have fun?

I love going to the movies, reading murder mysteries (and watching them on telly), eating out with friends and sitting in the back garden with my fur baby.

Share a funny incident in your life.

I’d always wanted to get my ears pierced but was terrified of the pain. On the last weekend of a holiday in Washington State, my friend challenged me to do something special to see off my visit. Bring on the pierced ears! Several glasses of bubbly were imbibed to fortify my courage. Now, slightly, um, tipsy, and with my friend holding my hands and telling me to breathe, I ended up getting my ears pierced at this little discount jewelry shop in Seattle. I purchased a pair of tiny diamanté studs, plus a tiara, and then went crazy and also bought flower and diamanté flip flops. I proceeded to wear my new treasures as we shopped in Seattle. I soon discovered that city understands that sometimes a girl needs to let her tiara shine and hey, when you smile and are happy, that can prove to be infectious to those around you.

Fun Stuff:

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see play the lead role as you?

Michelle Pfeiffer. Not only is she my spitting image with her to-die-for cheekbones and tiny bum (cough), she can also do that “death-ray” stare that I used to practice in my bedroom mirror as a fifteen year old.

If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?

Rich Chocolate. Luscious and decadent. LOL

What is your favorite color- food- song- movie?

Colour – Purple
Food – slow cooked corned beef with white onion sauce
Song – gosh, no idea.
Movie – heck, too many to pick one.

What's the funniest pick up line ever used on you?

Never had one used on me.

What's the one thing you can't live without?

Books!

I’d pull up and offer my seat and the passenger spare to the my friend and the old lady. Then…I’d huddle under an umbrella with my perfect partner. Just think of the luscious ways we could warm up back at my place afterwards!

Thanks so much Fiona for being here in the hot seat, I've really enjoyed it and hope everyone else has as well. Here is a little bit more information about Fiona, her book and a excerpt from Chloe's Double Draw.

If you like what you read Fiona is giving away a free ebook copy of Chloe's Double Draw to one lucky reader. Author Bio

I live in the sunny environs of Sydney, Australia, and share a house with my dog, Letty. Oh, and the flock of cockatoos that take over the back yard each afternoon, demanding their feed of Arnott's Milk Arrowroot Biscuits. Things get a little noisy around 3.00pm in our household.

My love of romance started back when I was twelve and my mum's stash of Mills and Boon novels proved too much of a temptation. At fifteen, I decided the life of a romance writer was for me. Some…ah…years later, I've clawed together enough gumption to make my dream a reality.

When not sitting in front of the computer, I can be found in the garden or enthralled watching a murder mystery DVD. I limit myself to reading other authors' work between writing my own stories. Books are my “shiny” distractions.

Blurb for Chloe’s Double Draw.

Chloe Morgan fled to King’s Bluff, Wyoming, to start a new life. With a past that haunts her, the shy schoolteacher must make a choice. She can hide away and protect her secrets or embrace the acceptance of the small community.

Noah King and Flynn Taylor have traveled the world as members of Australia’s elite SAS. They’ve earned scars, both inside and out. Now powerful influencers in King’s Bluff, Wyoming, a town founded by Noah’s ancestors, the men have made a haven from the ranch Noah inherited.

One look at Chloe convinces Noah and Flynn she’s worth pursuing. Introducing her to BDSM and the ménage lifestyle accepted by the town will be a hard sell. She’s scared, skittish, and refusing their advances.

The burn in Chloe’s nipple morphed into a sweet throb. Desire shot straight to her core. Her control was slipping away from her, melting in a puddle at their feet. If she gave in now, she’d never be able to walk away.
“No, I can’t. I won’t—Oh. My. God. What’s that?” Pain gripped her other nipple. She looked down. Flynn kneeled in front of her, adjusting something—tweezer-like things with rubber ends—on her nipple. She rocked forward. A tiny bell, hanging from the clamp, tinkled.
Helpless, she watched Flynn lift a second clamp, connected by a chain to the first, to her other nipple, still caught between Noah’s finger and thumb.
“Nooo.” This was so foreign and delicious.
“Breathe and settle. Center you thoughts on your nipple. It’s not hurting anymore, is it? Burning, yes, but not hurting.” Noah’s free hand sank between her wet folds. He pressed against her clit just enough to drive her higher while denying her release.
Again, she let her head fall back against his chest, her eyes closing. He thrust two fingers deep inside her core the moment the sharp bite of the clamp bit down on her remaining nipple. She opened her mouth. No sound escaped.
Never, she’d never felt anything…It had hurt before, but now it went beyond a burn. It was more than she’d ever imagined.
Inside her warmth, Noah swiped his finger in a circle, grazing her sensitive spot. Yes. Right there.
A warm lick caressed her nipple. She jolted. Tinkling sounds filled the air. Their light pings contrasted to the heavy thud of her heart.
“How does it feel, sweetness, having your nipples clamped?” Flynn’s voice drifted over her as he skimmed the back of his fingers over her breasts.
She battled to center her thoughts. “It feels amazing, too much.”
“Poor baby. We’re just warming up.”
She opened her eyes in time to catch Flynn lift the thin sliver of chain connecting the clamps and give it a gentle tug.
An avalanche of sensation sparked from her nipples and ran down straight to her pussy. “I…oh, oh, I can’t—”
Noah lowered his head until his warm breath caressed her ear. “You don’t have permission to speak.” His teeth nipped her lobe.
She moaned at the sharp sting. How could she crave this kind of pain?
Flynn wrapped his hand in her hair and tugged, dragging her gaze up to his. “Do we need to gag you?”
Oh, hell! Her pussy clamped like a vise around Noah’s fingers.
“Flynn, she’s gripping me hard.” He used his head to press hers further into his shoulder as he licked a line up the side of her neck. “Your need for domination goes far deeper than you’ve confessed, doesn’t it, little one? You need to be taken, sometimes rough and hard. You want to scream and struggle and know that no matter what you say or do, you can’t get free.”
Yes!
At Flynn’s cool gaze, she pressed her lips together. No, they wouldn’t let her speak. Not now, when she teetered on the edge of full capitulation. His denial jacked up her need, becoming even more frantic when Noah withdrew his fingers from her pussy.
Flynn kneeled between her legs. “She’s just confirming what we knew all along. It’s true, isn’t it, Chloe? You love it when you’re taken in hand.” His fingers spread her lips wide. She tensed as his breath fanned over her wetness. Fire raced through her as he licked the tip of her clit. “Weak men don’t attract you.”
Lick.
“You want them strong, determined.”
Lick.
“Prepared to wrestle you from your own fears.”
Lick.
“Take you down, show you who’s in command.”
His mouth closed over her clit, sucking hard. A starburst of pleasure exploded from her clit. She came with such force that her heels knocked against the chest as her legs jerked with each wicked lick and suck from Flynn.
He showed no mercy, his tongue flicking over her swollen bundle of nerves as another orgasm, so quick after the first, shattered what remained of her composure and left her breathless.
“Nothing can hold us back now. Feel how your body reacts to our words. You’re on fire, luv.” Noah’s lips trailed kisses down the side of her face and neck.
They’d left her with nowhere to hide, utterly defenseless. Her hands curled into fists. She crumpled back against Noah. Her eyes widened. Something hard, very hard, was within her reach. A smile pulled at her mouth. She ran a knuckle over the bulge. Maybe she wasn’t so defenseless after all.
“Don’t you dare,” Noah warned.
Hot ribbons of excitement raced along her body. No way was she stopping now.
She rubbed her fist against the denim covering his erection. Noah’s sharp hiss drove her on, her strokes longer and harder. Could she make her hard-ass warrior come in his pants?
Too late, she saw Noah’s hand reach for the chain connecting her clamps.
She squished her eyes closed and panted against the clamp’s spicy bite. “Oh. Oh, Sir.” Breathe.
Noah finally released the chain, letting it thud against her hot skin.
Flynn’s next words had her eyes popping open. “Obviously, we’ve been too gentle.”
“Aaaahh.” She cried out as Flynn slapped her pussy. Tiny waves of bliss rolled outward from her clit, not enough to allow orgasm.
“Silence,” Noah ordered.
Ready to beg, she clamped her jaw tight.
Flynn lifted up a black velvet pouch and pulled out a butt plug, held it up for her to see.
So big. Her back passage clenched in anticipation.
“See this? It’s nearly as big as me. We’re going to get you nice and stretched. Then I’m going to fuck your arse.”
“Right after I slide into that hot, wet pussy,” Noah said.
They wanted to drive her insane. That had to be their plan.
