Wicked Nights Giveaway Hop

Falling for someone Wicked

In erotic romance novels (which I write) there are all sorts of wicked. Wicked in both it's cheeky positive form and in the evil-doer form. For example, naughty-sex-scene-wicked or wickedly-good-looking heroes are the positive kind, but then there's often the wicked-bad-guy/girl. The character who threatens to ruin or destroy the love of our main characters. I must admit I like writing a good villain, but I never expected that I'd fall for one. When I wrote Finding Angel, the first book in my Wylde Shore Series, I did something I thought I'd never do. I redeemed my villain toward the end of the book.

Why would you do that? And how could you redeem someone that was so wicked?

Good questions, thanks for asking. I did it because, after talking to him while writing the story, I ended up with a little crush on him. I like to get in the head of all my characters and that includes the bad guy. Adrian Hastings somehow won me over and I wanted readers to have the chance to see him and get to know him like I had, so...a mini redemption occurred. I'm not saying he suddenly became to most wonderful man in the world, or evaded punishment, but I hope that if you read (or have read) the book you won't hold being the wicked, bad guy, against him. I'm going to finish with a quote from Adrian, it was the first inkling I had from Adrian that he might be more than meets the eye.

  7. Thanks for entering everyone, I know picking just one book or series is hard, for me I think it the answer often tends to be the book I'm currently reading and loving.

  8. My Secret Garden, I think because I was very, very young when I snuck it from my mothers room. I had no business reading it at 12 but I remember feeling so naughty I confessed to her I took it.
