Christmas Treat Giveaway Hop #ChristmasTreats

What are our favorite Christmas Treats? Books, of course!
Stop by each blog for a chance to win fabulous books & gifties for the Holidays!

It's nearly that time of year again. The jolly fat man will be here soon, calling everyone Ho, Ho, Ho's and entering houses without chimney's by osmosis. It's also time to give away stuff on the blog as part of the Christmas Treat Giveaway Hop.

More about the giveaway later, or at the end of the blog, actually. :)

So, as part of the hop, we've been asked to talk about the books we'd like to get for Christmas or the series/author who's our favorite treat to read.

For me they are the same thing. I love reading paranormal romance, because I can escape to a world I wish was true. Vampires, Lycan and Shifters, oh my!

My fav authors in the genre are the usual suspects. J.R. Ward and her Black Dagger Brotherhood, Gena Showalter and her Lords of the Underworld, Kresley Cole and her Immortals after Dark and lastly, but in no ways least, Christine Feehan and her Dark (Carpathian) Series.

I still have books to read on both kindle and in paperback from all the above authors. So instead of getting more books for Christmas, I've decided I'd like more TIME (please, Santa) to read the books I have waiting on my list. If I get that, then the only choice I'll have to make will be which one do I start with.

What about you? Would you like more books (and which ones would you like) or more time to read the ones you already have?

Giveaway:

So, here's the giveaway. Sign up to my mailing list (the form is on the top right of the blog page) and go in the draw for a copy of Secret Desire. The first book in my Hot in the City, contemporary romance, series.  If you are already on the mailing list, don't panic,  you're automatically included in the draw. The winner will be drawn Christmas day. Good Luck everyone and don't forget to visit the other blogs for more great prizes.

Release Blitz - Subordination by Katie Ashley

Are you ready to submit in Subordination by Katie Ashley!

NOW AVAILABLE

 Blurb
When Sophie Jameson first became a domme at Club 1740, it was more out of financial necessity than it was for personal pleasure and sexual exploration. But over the years as she rocked her leather corsets and boots while wielding every crop and flogger imaginable, she grew to love the thrill and adulation that her clients brought her. But all along, her path in life and her heart was with a different profession—one she was planning to embark on at the summer’s end.
And then he changed everything. Tall, dark, impossibly built—William was the complete opposite of whatever image a male sub conjured up. After all the subs, Sophie finally felt true lust and desire. Although he was the proud stallion who needed breaking, he became the one to make her break all her rules and let down all her walls.
But it was just supposed to be for that one night, but an accidental encounter days later outside Club 1740’s protected walls had the two seeing each other in a different light—as simply Sophie and William, not Domme and sub. While they should have parted ways, they couldn’t. While they should never have gone back to her place, they did.
And that simple mistake has a serious price for both of them.

 Subordination Excerpt
In the distance, a figure crested the hill on his way down from the mountain. Something about the man appeared familiar. Over the years of running at the park, I was used to seeing fellow running acquaintances. But as the incredibly built man grew nearer, my stomach lurched. Oh no, this wasn’t possible. I couldn’t literally be running into someone I’d been in a scene with the night before. In the five years I’d worked at 1740, I had never, ever run into a client.
We were within a few feet of each other when he gave a complimentary nod of hello. Then he literally skidded to a stop, sending bits of gravel flying around us. Just as I started to pass him, acknowledgement of who I truly was flashed on his face.
FUUUUUCK I screamed in my head. With everything I had in me, I raced ahead.
“Mistress Juliette?” he called.
Those two little words from his mouth send me tripping over a limb. As I sprawled onto the ground, my knees bumped along the uneven terrain. Once I came to a stop, pain raged all through my body, although it was excruciatingly centralized in my right ankle.
I rolled into a sitting position and brought my hand to my tennis shoe. “Fuck,” I muttered. It was to address both the pain and the fact that a shadow had crossed over me. A bulky shadow belonging to the only sub I had ever let myself go with.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry, Mistress.”
My gaze spun wildly around the clearing. “Stop calling me that!” I hissed.
“I’m sorry. Are you all right?”
Damn, that voice of his. Momentarily forgetting my ankle, I could feel myself growing wet just from the deep timbre, not to mention how sexy his concern was.
“No, actually, I’m not.” I jerked my gaze from my foot up to his handsome face. “My ankle is throbbing like a mother fucker, not to mention I’m mortified as hell I just busted my ass right in front of you.”
The corners of his lips fluttered, and I could tell he was fighting the urge not to laugh at me. Without a word, he knelt down beside me. “Let me take a look.”
I jerked my foot away from his overeager hands, which caused me to wince from the pain. “I think you’ve done enough already.”
Cocking his dark brows at me, he said, “My mistress’s health and well-being is always my upmost concern.”
I fought the urge to smack him and not so he could get off on it. “Here’s a newsflash for you. We are not in 1740 anymore, Toto, so this whole sub taking care of his mistress bullshit isn’t going to fly.”
“I’m not in to dog play,” he countered, with a wink.
“Yeah, well, last time I checked, you’re not sporting my collar, so I’m not your mistress.”
“Ouch, you really bring out the claws when you’re hurting, don’t you?” When I opened my mouth to lay into him again, he brought a finger over my lips. “Quit your bitching, and let me check out your ankle, okay?”
“Are you a doctor or paramedic in real life?”
He smiled, causing those delicious dimples of his to pop out. “No, not quite.”
“Then how do I know you’re actually qualified to look at my ankle and not just wanting to cop a feel of my foot?”
With a chuckle, he replied, “Don’t have a foot fetish either.”
As he slid my tennis shoe off, I hissed. “Answer the question.”
“Easy now,” he murmured.
“What qualifies you to look at my ankle?” I demanded.
“I used to be a football coach.”
“Professional?”
He laughed. “No, high school.”
“Oh,” I murmured.
“Yeah, you bandage at least one sprained ankle every game.” He glanced up at me. “Yours doesn’t feel sprained, but it’s definitely swollen. I have a first aid kit in my truck. I can bandage it for you.”
I eyed him suspiciously. As a submissive, I knew he truly subscribed to the code of conduct that his mistress always came first. But we weren’t in the club, and although club management did background checks that rivaled the FBI, he was still a stranger to me. Well, a stranger who I’d seen naked and bent over a spanking horse.
Knowing that I didn’t really have a choice, I huffed out a frustrated breath. “Okay, fine. I’ll let you take care of my ankle.”
“Try not to sound so excited about it, okay?” William said with a teasing expression.

Passion’s Triumph by Julie Shelton - out now. @JulieCShelton #romance #bdsm #ebooks

Julie Shelton has been on the blog before so some of you may be familiar with her  The Doms of Passion Lake Series. Well I have good news, Passion’s Triumph, book four in the series is OUT NOW. The blurb an excerpt and buy links appear below for you to check out.

BOOK BLURB

Former SEAL Dr. Lucas McKay and his brother Alex, former FBI agent, have been looking for their lifetime submissive. And they may just have found her in the new Director of the Passion Lake Library. She’s sweet. She’s curvy. She’s adventurous. She’s a green-eyed, freckle-faced redhead with the world’s sexiest glasses. And she’s chock full of secrets. Not the least of which is the fact that she writes steamy BDSM romances in her spare time. She’s also a virgin who has never done any of the kinky stuff she writes about.

When they discover this, they offer to act as her temporary Doms, giving her lots of first-hand experiences designed to enrich her writing and make her D/s scenes more authentic and emotional. Since she’s as attracted to them as they are to her, she leaps at the chance. Unfortunately, Lily has another, even deadlier secret. One with the potential to destroy not only her but the two men she’s grown to love. Will death triumph? Or will love?

PASSION’S TRIUMPH ADULT EXCERPT

Alex climbed into his truck, but he didn’t drive off. He was too busy mentally reciting the FBI’s Manual of Administrative and Operational Procedures in an effort to deflate his cock enough to ease the stranglehold his jeans had around it. Holy shit! That woman is so fucking hot! The moment he’d laid eyes on her, his response to her had been instantaneous. The electrical current zapping between them had ripped the breath from his lungs. His heartbeat had gone from zero to sixty in one second flat and had started beating so hard he’d thought he was having a heart attack. He’d never reacted like that to any woman. Ever. And he’d had more than his fair share of those. But this one was different. He closed his eyes, squeezing his face tight. Lily Rose. God, what a beautiful name! Lily Rose. She was different, all right. She called to a part of him no woman had ever touched before. A part of his soul that had been waiting, biding its time, for just such a woman as Lily Rose Prescott.
And she was not immune to him either. The Dom in him had recognized the submissive signals she was giving off—her shyness, her diffidence, the constant blushing of that pale, translucent skin, her inability to hold his gaze. She had been aroused. He had smelled her essence, especially within the close confines of the elevator and his truck. If he’d swiped his finger through her slit, it would have come out wet and slick with her juice. Just the thought made him moan as his cock hardened once again, making him wince in pain.
Christ! I can’t go back to work like this! I’ll never hear the end of it. Suddenly putting his truck in gear, he checked both ways, made a u-turn and pulled into his driveway, heading back toward the garage. Fortunately his property was shielded from the neighbors’ view by a hedge, a cluster of crepe myrtle trees, and a gigantic live oak tree. Feeling desperate, awkward, and not a little stupid, he shoved his seat back, lifted his hips and unzipped his jeans, freeing his rock-hard erection. The skin was a mottled purple, and blistering hot to the touch. Wrapping his hand around the base, he began moving it up and down in hard, rapid strokes. As primed as he was, it didn’t take long before his eyes were closing, his body was tensing, and he was coming, great white globs of cum spurting all over his hand. Hissing his breath through his teeth, he continued to stroke himself and massage the head of his dick with his thumb, coaxing every last drop out of him. When he finally released himself, he realized he was shaking. And his dick was still semi-hard. As orgasms went, that one had been singularly unsatisfactory, leaving him feeling restless and scratchy, as if millions of insects were crawling just under his skin.
Grimly, he rummaged through the glove box, looking for a rag to wipe the stickiness off his hand, but the only thing he found was a coffee-stained napkin. Feeling more than a bit sheepish, he tucked himself back inside his jeans, moved the seat back up, and backed out of the driveway, his mind still reeling with what had just happened. He had just jacked off! Sitting in his driveway! Jesus, I haven’t done that since I was sixteen! As he turned to head back to the station, he realized that the truck still reeked of cum, so he quickly lowered the windows, hoping the breeze would dispel any lingering aroma. You’re in deep shit, McKay. Deeeep shit.
At the very last second, he jerked the wheel hard to the right and pulled into the clinic’s parking lot. Exiting the car, he entered through the back door. He had to tell Luc about this woman. Because if she was who he thought she was, Luc needed to be on board, too. The decision to take her as their sub and train her would have to be made by both of them. Alex walked past several open doors into empty examining rooms and headed straight for his brother’s office. Luc was sitting behind his desk, gazing intently at his computer screen, writing something on a pad on the desk top in front of him.
“I’ve found her,” Alex said quietly. “She is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever met. And sweet? Fuck, is she ever sweet!” Now that he was describing her, his words tumbled all over each other in their effort to be heard. “And so fucking gorgeous! Red hair, perfect, pale skin, with just a light dusting of freckles. Green eyes. Ripe, delicious breasts, a body to die for, her ass is—”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Lucas held up his hand. “Slow down. What the fuck are you talking about? Who are you talking about?”
“Lily Rose Prescott. Our new submissive.”
“What?” Luc’s voice rose three octaves. “You just met her and you’ve already talked her into being our submissive?”
Alex shrugged. “Well, not exactly,” he had to admit. “She doesn’t know it yet—”

BDSM Poetry by C.A. Bell - Submit to the Dark Side

Today, I have C. A. Bell stopping by on the last day of her blog tour for her latest release, BDSM poetry. Welcome Ms. Bell, now it's over to you. :)

Hello, and thank you for having me today. This is the last stop of my blog tour, so if you missed me, I started back at http://kdgrace.co.uk/

Since this is my last stop I just wanted to let you all know that from the 14th of December my book BDSM poetry will be on promotional offer for just 99p for a week. So, if this book does grab your fancy make a note of that.

As I’ve said before, please don’t dismiss this book because it is poetry. It really isn’t what you are probably thinking. There is no Shakespearian language or beating around the bush. It is what it is, and that’s BDSM. Naughty poetry written to stimulate and suck you into a world of taboo.
BDSM poetry is available at Amazon and on kindle unlimited, so please take a look and leave a review, as your feedback is always welcome and taken on-board.

Since this is my last post I wanted to leave you with an excerpt from one of my personal favourites from this collection, which is a free verse piece called It’s Psychological. Hope you enjoy.

Excerpt

It’s Psychological

I secured him to the St Andrews Cross.
Showed him the knife, then blindfolded him.
Fear stole his breath.
I ripped and tore through his clothing with the blade.
Exposed his skin.
His cock bounced at the thrill.
I switched the knife for a letter opener that had been sitting on ice.
Told him I was going to slash him, taste his life.
Brand him with my name.
I ran the blade from his neck to his navel, lightly.
He gasped.
 His erection fell.
The heat from his body caused the chilled steel to melt.
Water droplets ran down his skin.
He fidgeted in his restraints.
I placed the letter opener back in the ice, quietly.
Licked the water droplets from his flesh.
He moaned.
I whispered, “Trust me.” against his ear…

Fighting Solitude
Prologue

“Mia!” I shouted.
It was worthless. She’d been deaf since the day I met her.
She’d never once heard my voice.
She’d never heard the deep rumble of my laugh when she was excited, signing so fast I could barely keep up.
She’d never heard my content sigh when she barged into the locker room after a fight—just her presence soothed the lingering madness brewing within me.
She’d never heard me whispering my deepest fears into her ear as she fell asleep on top of me.
She’d never heard the reverence in which I cried her name each and every time I took her body.
And she’d never once heard the ease in which the words I love you tumbled from my lips as I stared into her deep, jade green eyes.
But as I screamed her name while watching her petite body seizing in the passenger seat beside me, I’d never needed her to hear me more.
“Mia. Oh God. I’ve got you, baby.”
She was still thrashing violently as I made my way around to her door, yanking it open while pleading with whatever god was willing to help.
When she stilled, a whole new level of silence filled the air around us. It wasn’t the absence of sound.
It was the absence of life.
“Mia, breathe!” I roared as her chest remained agonizingly still. “Help me!” I screamed at the closed emergency room doors, but no medical savior rushed out with the miracle I so desperately needed.
My hands shook wildly as I released her lifeless body from the seatbelt.
“I’ve got you, just hang on. Please just hang on, Mia,” I whispered lifting her into my arms and sprinting through the sliding doors. “I need a doctor! She’s not breathing!”
Nurses rushed towards me in slow motion as the seconds without air in her lungs passed at a terrifying speed.
Breathe.
A doctor appeared with a gurney and quickly took her from my arms.
The immediate loss was staggering.
Hope became my only solace.
She needed help that I wasn’t capable of giving her, but that didn’t stop me from following close behind as they rolled her away. I was on the verge of self-destructing; letting her out of my sight wasn’t an option.
I stood motionless in the doorway while doctors and nurses swarmed around her. Their mouths moved frantically, but without my hearing aids I was worthless to make out the words their faint voices carried.
I never wore my hearing aids when I was with Mia. There was no point. She rarely spoke with her voice.
We’d spent four years building a relationship with our hands.
Those hands had told me animated stories that made me laugh until my face hurt from smiling.
They’d fought with me relentlessly, but always ended the night raking down my back in silent ecstasy.
Her fingers had fluidly signed I love you more times than I could ever count—or forget.
But as I felt the nurse attempting to physically remove me from the room, my eyes became fixated on her limp hand dangling off the side of the bed. It was the only sight more frightening than watching her flail mid-seizure.
It ripped the heart straight from my chest.
That hand was supposed to be full of life.
It was the very essence of Mia.
Pale.
White.
Still.
Oh God.
Sucking in a deep breath, I held it until the room began to spin.
It provided me no relief even as it forced me to my knees.
There would be no distraction from this.
I was going to lose her.
Yet another woman I couldn’t save.
